Cotton Fabrics At Nagoya Textiles

I’ve been regularly buying some cotton fabrics from the shop, but lately I think Nagoya Textiles has added more to their collection.

A few weeks ago I bought some floral cotton fabrics (no pic), which have since joined my fabric stash 🙂 . Last Thursday, after a quick lunch, I had a leisure walk into the shop (oh, didn’t I tell you there’s one Nagoya Textiles outlet just next door to my office block?).  At the end of the brief visit, I got myself these:

And also the two pieces that I used to cover the new dining table top:

Nagoya Textiles is now having a sale, so there were some discounts too to most of the cotton fabrics.

Before I left the shop, I took these shots:

I think next week I want to get some of the above.

I was afraid that I might get told off for snapping photos, but I managed another one:

I was told by a sales girl that ehile some of the fabrics were imported from Japan, there are also others that were imported from Thailand. Whatever it is, the cotton fabrics are of good quality and beautiful prints.

I guess I do not need to go to Bandung (Indonesia) to get my supply of cotton fabrics at reasonablr prices 🙂 .

  1. Is this the branch in Shah Alam – kat mana yea? I usually do my Nagoya shopping while I do my grocery shopping at Tesco. The cotton are thick and cheap. No need to go anywhere.

By the way, the fabric on the left in the first photo? I got that last year. I only just cut into the fabric when I did the last baby quilt which I am turning into a wallhanging for a friend (just blogged about it).

  2. Zarina, the outlet is in Plaza Alam Sentral, where the TV3 other studio is.

Some of the fabrics that I bought last week, I’ve been eying them for a while. I only bought last week because of the sale! By the way, the shots are only of the cotton section. Before this, they didn’t have that much selection of the cotton fabric.

  3. sabariah, you make me want to drive to Nagoya this lunch hour… how i wish i could sneak out..
wuz supposed to be there last Friday, but since my class end quite late i hv to cancel my initial plan…

now, m drooling over the fabric… yummm yummmm…

  4. owhhh.. u bought it at Nagoya Alam Central ??? how come when i go there, i cant find any.. errmm.. in which section…??? now thinking, which Nagoya is nearer to me… Alam Sentral or Subang Jaya. ermm….

  5. Azie,
You can’t find the shop or you can’t find the section?

The shop is on the first floor. The cotton section is right at the end (go as far in as possible) and towards the right side. The curtain is on its left.

I think I am going to cause more damage to my purse 🙁 but maybe the need to buy the curtain fabrics may reduce my expenditure on the cotton ones.

  6. smz,
i cant find the section actually.. errmm.. d section is right at the end yeah, how come i didnt see this print last month.. urghhh… i need to get there, by this week.. ha ha.. so tempted now !

btw, do u still interested about the read smocking pleater ?

  7. Azie,

Some of the cotton fabrics only came about 1 or 2 weeks ago.

The smocking pleater? no lah.. not in the near future, though very tempting..

By the way, i think the Nagoya sales on 3rd Jan, they told me.
