Our Last Big Makan For 2008

Last night, we used Mae’s 8As as an axcuse for us to go out for a steam boat dinner at Johnny’s Steamboat, Bandar Baru Klang (Jusco Mall).

We arrived at 8.30pm (peak time) but we were lucky to be able to squeeze into a small table (for 7 of us, sans Ayi).

Trying to put in all stuff into the only pot available (it had to be 2 batches of food for the pot):

Still simmering:

Steaming hot:

Tummies full, nothing better to do (while waiting for desserts):

Another view of the damage:

Some had sundae/banana split, others had some Thai desserts. There were also 11 drinks for 7 of us!

The final bill? RM170.80. Not bad really.

  1. This reminds me, my wife and I have to host a sukiyaki dinner for our friends when we get back to Michigan! The steamboat you show looks just like what our sukiyaki will look like, except that the broth will be based on soy sauce, sugar, and (dried) mushroom broth. Cheers!

  2. Ohayo Gozaimasu, Yamaguchi-san!

    Thank you for dropping by.

BTW, when you say “when we get back”, where are you right now? Malaysia? 😉

    Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!
